Police are seeking an arrested for 60-year-old Somporn Phromjit of Samut Prakan on charges of duping as many as 30 girls and one boy into believing he could exorcise evil spirits by having sex with them. One 12-year-old girl told police she had been raped nearly 30 times. Somporn told the girl he was a spiritual medium and could see evil in her, and could only rid the spirits through sex. One boy who was also raped said he had talked with other children in the neighborhood and was convinced the man had had sex as many as 30 girls.
