Iranian nationals Patris Jamshid and Davood Mohammadi were arrested in Bangkok over the weekend for possession with intent to distribute 1.2 million baht worth of crack cocaine. Police said Dadgostar admitted to selling the drug in areas frequented by Arab tourists for between 2,500 and 3,000 baht per gram. Metropolitan Police superintendent Colonel Sombat Milinjinda said the men told police the drug was popular among Arabs and first appeared in Thailand about a year ago. Metropolitan police also said Thai customers made up about 10 percent of the men's sales.
