Present Continuous Verb Tense
This Thai language lesson will give examples in English of sentences in the Present Continuous Verb Tense (i.e. the conjugation of 'to be' + a present participle verb) and show the Thai translation, to help you gain a better understanding of how to form Thai sentences from this verb tense. For example, ' We are watching TV' (เรากำลังดูทีวี) and ' They are buying a new computer' (พวกเขากำลังจะซื้อคอมพิวเตอร์เครื่องใหม่).
1. I am reading a book.
ผม/ฉันกำลังอ่านหนังสือ
PHǑM/CHÁN GAM-LANG AÀN NǍNG-SǓE
2. She is drinking tea.
เธอกำลังดื่มชา
THEU GAM-LANG DÙEM CHA
3. We are watching TV.
