The Pacific Asia Travel Association reports that despite the New Years bombings in Bangkok, few travelers have canceled their plans to visit Thailand. The Tourism Authority of Thailand stated that there have been minimal cancellations reported from hotels following the bombing. The TAT has also said that a special communications center has been set up to coordinate the tightened security measures at airports, bus terminals, train stations and light rail stations in Bangkok. The center will run for 7 days.
